Purchase committee okays project

The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) yesterday approved the negotiated price and draft commercial contract for direct purchase of Installation of Single Point Mooring (SMP) with Double Pipe Line Project, reports BSS.
The approval was given at the CCGP meeting of the current fiscal year, held at cabinet division. Finance Minister AMA Muhith chaired the meeting.
"As per approval, China Petroleum Pipe Line Bureau (CPP) will implement the direct purchase at a cost of about US dollar 550.40 million," Mustafizur Rahman, additional secretary of Cabinet Division, told journalists after the meeting.
Earlier, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved the 'Installation of Single Point Mooring with Double Pipe Line project' at a cost of Tk 4,936 crore to ensure unloading of imported crude oil from deep sea in more efficient and time-saving manner.
