4 die of toxic gas inhalation

Naogaon: Four people died after inhaling toxic gas in a septic tank at Goali village in sadar upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Imtiaz Alam, 24, Babu Sardar, 36, Delbar Ali, 45, residents of Goali village and Ratan, 35, resident of Raghunathpur village of the upazila.
OC of sadar police Jakirul Islam said Ratan lost consciousness after inhaling toxic gas when he went inside the septic tank of Toijuddin’s house in the area for cleaning at about 7:00am. As Toijuddin’s son Imtiaz Alam went inside the septic tank for rescuing Ratan, he also lost consciousness due to toxic gas inhalation. Then Babu and Delbar went inside the tank for rescuing Imtiaz and Ratan and they also lost consciousness.
Later, the four were rescued by local people and rushed to Naogaon Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctors declared
them dead.
