Two killed in road crash

Sirajganj: Two people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a bus and a tank lorry on Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway in Khalkuna area of Tarash upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Rafiqul, 35, helper of the tank lorry, a resident of Jamalpur village of Shajahanpur upazila in Bogra district, and Tajimul, 50, hailing from Adai village of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila.
Abdul Kader Zilani, officer-in-charge of Hatikumrul highway police, said the accident took place in the area around 6am when the Rajshahi-bound bus collided head-on with the gas-laden tank lorry, leaving the duo dead on the spot. The injured were admitted at Sirajganj General Hospital.
