Bangladesh national women's cricket team is scheduled to fly for Bangkok to play the upcoming women's Asia Cup 2016 on November 24, just two day before the tournament. The six-nation meet will start on November 26,where four Test nations including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka along with Nepal and the hosts Thailand will battle for the trophy.
Bangladesh meanwhile appointed former England assistant coach Ravid Capel to hone the Tigress' skills and techniques. Now they have been practicing under his guidelines at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar since November 1.
They will come back in Dhaka this week after ending their three-week-long training camp. The team will play a practice match against Under-15 boy's team, the match which will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on November 22. Bangladesh cricket board (BCB) meanwhile announced all-rounder Rumana Ahmed as Bangladesh captain, who will lead the team in Asia Cup. Bangladesh will face-off the hosts Thailand in their first match of the Asia Cup on November 26.
