Members of Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) seized huge quantity of illegally imported Indian sarees worth Tk 1.27 crore from Keshabpur Bazar in the district early yesterday.
Lt Col M Jahangir Hossain, commanding officer of 26 BGB battalion, said based on secrete information that a large consignment of Indian sarees entered Keshabpur Bazar, a team of the border guards conducted a drive in the area and seized a truck and recovered the Indian sarees. No one was arrested in this connection.
