Tk 1 lakh bounty for info about miscreants

The government has declared Tk 1 lakh bounty for providing information about the miscreants responsible for the heinous attack on Hindu households in Nasrinagar of Brahmanbaria. The announcement of the bounty was made by police yesterday morning in Nasrinagar using loud speakers. Talking with The Independent over phone, Abu Zafar, officer in-charge of Nasirnagar Police Station, said the bounty money will be given from the government exchequer. “We have already arrested some of the miscreants who took part in vandalizing the temples. Now we are looking for those who put the Hindu houses on fire,” he said. “Police have offered anonymity to the informants. The informants have no fear of being exposed,” he added.
