Md Saiful Hasib yesterday took over as the director general (DG) of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), says press release.
Saiful Hasib, the additional secretary of the Public Administration Ministry, also held the director post of the now-defunct Privatisation Commission.
He replaced Iqramul Haque, said a BSTI handout.
He was promoted to the post of additional secretary in 2009.
He was born in Magura in 1958. Saiful Hasib was a student of English literature, the statement added.
