A court in the capital yesterday placed Shihab, arrested in connection with the knife attack at Shahjalal International Airport that left an Ansar member dead, on a five-day remand, reports UNB.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan passed the order when Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit inspector Mahabubul Haq produced him before the court with 10-day remand prayer.
On November 6, Shohagh Ali, 30, an Ansar member was killed and four people, including two members AAP and two of Ansar, were injured as a cleaner of a private firm stabbed them at the airport.
The Airport Armed Police (AAP) members arrested attacker Shihab with multiple injuries. A case was filed in connection with the knife attack on the following day.
