Juba League man stabbed to death

Pabna: A Juba League activist was stabbed to death by some criminals at Dhanuaghat Sharatganj Bazar in Atgharia Upazila of the district yesterday, reports UNB. Officer-in-charge of Atgharia Police Station SM Faruk Hossain said a group of criminals waylaid Rafiqul Islam, 37, of Shatgachha village in the upazila and an activist of the local unit Juba League, at Dhanuaghat Sharatganj Bazaar while he along with his son was going to his business establishment around 9:30 am. The miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately, said the OC.
