DIU students to join int’l programme
A total of 17 students of Daffodil International University (DIU) left for Japan on Sunday to attend Asia Summer Programme-2015 (ASP) at Josai International University (JIU), Japan, says a press release.
The programme will start on July 7, 2015 and will continue up to July 28, 2015 on the three different campus of JIU: Togane, Awa and Sakado. The ASP is fully initiated and supported by Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF).
Students and teachers from all around the Asia from 13 universities of 10 countries, including Bangladesh, are attending this summer programme. M Lutfar Rahman, vice-chancellor, AKM Fazlul Haque, registrar and Md Fokhray Hossain, director (International Affairs) of Daffodil International University, congratulated the students before their departure for ASP-2015.
BRUR to be rid of session jam-free: VC

Nabi has said necessary steps have been taken to make the university free from any session jam very soon.
The academic activities faced serious setback due to closure of the university following various undesired incidents in recent times and the damages caused to academic life of the students would be recouped with assistance of the teachers and students, he said.
"Cancelling summer vacations, we have kept the university open now to continue academic activities," he said adding that the university shall be made completely free from session jam very soon.
The VC, also a population scientist, said this while addressing the freshers’ reception and Iftar mahfil organised by the Department of Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering at the same department on Sunday evening as the chief guest. Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Head of the Department of Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering Md Tazul Islam presided over the function.
