Rajshahi Kings all-rounder Abul Hasan Raju said that he got the reward of his hard work what he applied against Khulna Titans.
“I had planning to bowl slower. Before the tournament I have done additional works on slower. Today I got its reward,” said Abul Hasan.
Raju, who struck a record of 184-run partnership with Mahmudullah Riyad for the 10th wicket, where he hammered century for Bangladesh against West Indies in Chittagong in 2012, failed to fire with bat.
“We had planning to play to the last. If I could take the single then it would not be happened. But it’s T20 cricket, anything could be happened,” the pace all-rounder told in his post-match reaction yesterday.
Although he missed to sparkle with bat but he showcased the fourth best bowling of 5-28 in BPL after Mohammad Sami (5-6), Kevon Cooper (5-15) and Thesara Perera (5-26). Behind his bowling success, the 24-year-old said that he tried to bowl with variations after predicting the nature of wicket.
“T20 is a game of batsmen. Bowlers don’t do anything like that. At the initial stage, it seems to me that the wicket will be better for the bowlers. I had planning to bowl with variations then it would be better. For this I got success today,” the right-handed medium pacer explained After halting the progress of Titans to 133, why they could not lift the win? Raju said that their batsmen throw their wickets.
“Some of our wickets we have just thrown away. If we would not give such wickets then winning the match would be easier for us,” Abul Hasan thinks.
During the match Raju’s fell onto the ground due to muscle cram. When asked about his injury status, Hasan said, “Just a cram has been happened. That’s nothing serious.”
