Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) fourth edition will keep its footsteps on third day, where only one match will roll onto the ground.
The day was the rest day but BPL governing council prepared the new fixture on the consensus of all the seven franchisee teams following the change of the BPL matches due to the countrywide showers caused by the deep depression in the Bay of Bengal.
The four matches of the two successive days were washed out without a ball being bowled due to the incessant rains. Later, the BPL governing council withheld the third day matches in wake of the inclement weather. Thereafter, they discussed the matter with the franchisees and took the decision to resume the BPL from November 8 on the basis of the compromise.
Initially, Comilla Victorians and Rajshahi Kings were reluctant to play the rematch and pacified with sharing point. Later, they both retracted from their stance and agreed to rematch.
The council did not extend the date and schedule but they kept match or matches in the rest days.
As per the new fixture, Rangpur Riders will face-off Khulna Titans at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) at 7pm today.
