Irregularities abound at sub-registry office

Sirajganj: Allegations of irregularities and corruption has been raised against the general secretary of Deed Writers Association at Salanga sub-registry office, reports UNB.
The deed writers at the sub-registry office claimed that the association’s general secretary, Mustafizur Rahman, has been embezzling money from the staff as well as local people seeking the service.
He has made it compulsory that for each deed written, Tk 200 be deposited to the Association’s fund to be distributed among the deed writers later.
However, the deed writers alleged, the general secretary has embezzled the money all by himself. In a recent arbitration, he was also found guilty of abusing two deed writers physically. When asked, the accused denied the allegation.
