New AL committee to pay tribute to Bangabandhu in Tungipara today

The leaders of the newly formed Awami League Central Working Committee (ALCWC) and the members of its advisory council will visit Tungipara in Goplaganj today to pay homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also join them at Tungipara, visiting her ancestral home for the first time after being re-elected the party chief in the recent council.
Party sources said a joint meeting of ALCWC and AL advisory council will also be held there after paying tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreaths at his grave.
Official sources said Sheikh Hasina would leave Dhaka for Tungipara at around 11am by an Air Force helicopter. After reaching Tungipara, the premier will go the Mausoleum of Bangabandhu and pay tributes to the great leader. Along with her party’s central leaders and advisers, the premier will later offer fateha and join a special munajat seeking eternal peace for the departed soul.
