Sunday treble extends Abahani lead

Sunday Chizoba struck the first hat-trick of the JB Bangladesh Premier League football, as Abahani Limited (Dhaka) stretched their lead thrashing Soccer Club Feni by 5-1 yesterday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.   

Abahani brought their collection to 29 points from 13 matches as they took the solo lead after defeating Sheikh Jamal in the previous match.  
Besides Sunday, Jewel Rana and Saad Uddin also joined the celebration with scoring one goal each.      
The four times champions, including first three editions in a row, Abahani Limited were trailing to others table topper up to 10 rounds and took solo lead to recover well after successive wins.
Sky Blue from Dhanmondi got the lead on 18th minute with Jewel Rana scoring a goal taking the defense lapse when Camara’s header was not cleared well, as the ball came to Jewel Rana’s way inside the box and he found the net with a weak shot (1-0).
Sunday doubled the tally on 26th but all credits should go to Lee Tuck when the English man displayed a real English show with playing one-two with Fahad and made a super run with the ball breaking the offside trap and made the final pass to onrushing Sunday, who volleyed home to open his account (2-0). Soccer Club, who looked very unimpressive, could score one goal which was also almost a gifted from Abahani defenders as they looked shaky to clear a ball and Felix capitalized on the chance (1-3).  
JB Bangladesh League saw the first hat-trick on it’s 76th match when Sunday Chizoba scored the fourth goal of the match and his 14th having a gifted ball inside area and edged past defenders to send the ball into open net on 61st minute (4-1). 
Substitute Saad Uddin added one goal on 87th  (5-1).
