South Africa refused to feel complacent after winning the first T20 as they expected Bangladesh to come hard in the second Twenty20 International.
The visitors crushed Bangladesh by 52 in the first match quite convincingly but remained serious and want to end the Twenty20 series with good note ahead of the ODI series.
“Yesterday (first match) it was good start. We expect  Bangladesh team to come hard against us,” South Africa bowling coach Charles Langeveldt said yesterday at the Sher-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
“We need to be pretty aggressive against Bangladeshi batsmen. Naturally we can surprise with our aggression. That’s why we played four fast bowlers. Yesterday it worked for us. Another day it may not work,” he added.
“We need to adapt. Whole thing is South African bowling attack now is adapting at the moment You can’t be aggressive to Shakib, who is bowling well. Mustafiz is playing well. It is just being adapted with the situation.”
The 40-year-old said that the team management will decide the playing XI after seeing the nature of the wickets.
“It depends on the wicket. I think yesterday if we would bat in the second we would have to struggle. It depends a lot on the surface of the wickets. I think tomorrow probably the same eleven would play. We’ll look at the wicket and make a decision,” Langeveldt opined.
The right-handed former fast bowler said that they are moving forward with the target of the next T20 World Cup, which will be held in India.
“I have been working on for a long time with the guys. I’m trying to enhance skills of our bowler. I’m just sharing my knowledge as I played in this sub-continent condition.”
About tomorrow’s match, the bowling coach said,  “I think they are playing good cricket. They also got skilled bowlers. We expect a good contest.”
“We came here so we want to gather experience about this sub-continent because World Twenty20 will be held in this condition.”
After the emphatic victory in the first Twenty20 match, the bulk of the players of South African squad were rested at the hotel lobby. Only fast bowlers Chris Morris, Beuran Henrick and leg-spinner Eddie Leie came to the stadium to practice ahead of the last Twenty20 match.
