Youth held over gang rape of 2 female nursing students

RANGPUR: Police arrested a young man in connection with the gang-rape of two female students of Northern Nursing Institute at Bhat in Rangpur city on Tuesday night, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Alamgir Hossain, a 3rd year student of the institute.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station ABM Zahidul Islam said the two female students of the nursing institute went to a mess in the same area on the night of October 27 to meet one of their friends.
However, a group of three youths, including Alamgir, violated them one after another.
The victims filed a case with Kotwali Police Station on Tuesday, the OC added.
