18 gold bars seized at Shahjalal airport

Customs officials seized 18 gold bars and some ornaments weighing 14 kg from a cartoon at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in capital on Tuesday night, reports UNB.
Assistant commissioner HM Ahsanul Kabir of Dhaka Customs House said tipped off, a team of customs officials conducted a search in passenger flight ‘SQ-446’ around 11.30pm.
The team recovered 18 gold bars and 600 gram ornaments weighing 14 kg from a cartoon in an abandoned condition.
