Dhaka Abahani take solo lead in premier soccer

Two sensational strikes inside three minutes midway of second half helped  Abahani Limited (Dhaka) earned three valuable points beating Chittagong Abahani 2-1 to go on top of the points table with 26 in the JB Bangladesh Premier League football.

Lee Tuck scored one and set up another for Samad, as Abahani (Dhaka) knocked Ctg Abahani from the top position of the table. Zahed Hossain reduced one from penalty.   
The leaders Ctg Abahani needed only draw to remain on top of the table while their Dhaka counterpart badly need a win. In the day’s second match, both the Abahani struggled much to win the match to have clear lead and the Abahani Dhaka made it success.
The combat was equally contested throughout 90 minutes time and Abahani (Dhaka) and also for equal scoring chances.
The first chance came to Abahani (Dhaka) ways when a rainbow kick of Jewel Rana looked to beat goalkeeper but unbelievably missed the post very early in the second half.
But the Ctg outfit made a great miss when Leonel Preux failed to convert a penalty as his spot kick hit the side post and later had to pay for it costly, as they conceded two goals to suffer defeat.
Abahani (Dhaka) finally broke the deadlock on 67th minute with Sunday nodding home  on a Lee Tuck corner and Lee Tuck himself  slammed home a Sunday cross on 70th (2-0).
Zahid Hossain scored the consolation on 88th minute converting the second penalty for Ctg Abahani.
