Urmila, Sazu together in daily soap for first time

Urmila Srabanti Kar and Sazu Khamed, two audience-admired faces on the small screen, will be seen together in a daily soap for the first time. DhakaLive has news that the duo has paired up together in the roles of husband and wife in the daily soap titled ‘Better Half’, written and directed by Ejaj Munna. The daily soap has been produced for an upcoming television channel named Bangla TV. Urmila, who lost her beloved father recently and called off shooting for a few days to perform some religious customs, has returned to work and took part in the shooting for two days. The shooting is currently underway in the capital’s Uttara area.
Urmila said about working in the daily soap, “I have been working in various tele-dramas and drama serials under the direction of Ejaj Munna since last three years. I always could able take leave from him during the ongoing shooting whenever I needed for my father if he felt sick. Ejaj Munna could manage everything in the right way in that situation. I felt by heart that I should work for his production as Ejaj Munna was always beside me during the illness of my father. And during the shooting of the daily soap, Ejaj Munna, Sazu Khadem and Abdul Kader—everyone was there for giving me mental strength.”
Sazu Khadem said, “I worked under the direction of Ejaj Munna before. The experience I have gathered while working with him that he writes the characters for me thinking of me. For this reason, I always enjoy a lot working with him. Besides, Urmila has the quality of a splendid artiste besides being a wonderful person. I always feel comfortable to work with her.”
Director Ejaj Munna informed DhakaLive that as the daily soap will be telecast on upcoming television channel Bangla TV, the name of the production will be changed and it will be renamed in Bangla.
