Pacer Mustafiz gradually regains his fitness

Bangladesh pace prodigy Mustafizur Rahman has been gradually regaining his fitness after sidelined during a England T20 Blast in London. After his successful surgery in England, he took rest for almost two months before starting his rehabilitation as prescribed by the physician. He has already completed his second step rehah and set to start his third-phase rehab. Due to his injury he missed home series with Afghanistan and England.

  “We are now conducting Mustafiz’s post operative protocol, which will be evolved step by step. He just finished his second step successfully. He is going to start his third ‘Skill’ step, which will be commenced from November. He will slowly enter into this important step. Throwing, bowling with soft ball and shadowing will be included in the third step,” BCB physician Dr Debashis Roy said yesterday.
The rehab procedures of Mustafiz haves been going on successfully till now. When he will enter into the skill step it will be deemed that his physical condition remains okay. 
“We will try to give him the real skill and then the real challenge will be come out. It is a matter of looking that he could regain his real skill after the end of the operation. It is a matter of time also. Our work is to make him fit physically and pain free,” Debashis also said.  “We have talked with his surgeon, who told us that there will be no more problem with his skills. Problem will be happened while the rehabilitation takes a long spell. But we could finish the rehabilitation before the schedule period,” Roy added.
It is expected that he would fully recover before New Zealand tour in December.
Bangladesh’s new find all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraj met the pacer at the BCB indoor gymnasium to know his condition.
Meanwhile , in another development it was learnt that there is no major injury concern amongst the batsmen and pace battery of Bangladesh cricket ahead of the upcoming T20 tournament of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Those, who fell in injuries before and during the just concluded home series against the visiting England, fully recuperated from their respective injury layoff.
Fast-bowler Mohammad Shohid, who was sidelined with side strain and did not play the National Cricket League, is now fully fit after being healed from injury. He will perform for Dhaka Dynamites in the BPL-4.
New Test star Sabbir Rahman Rumman, who fell sick with gastric and fever during the Chittagong Test, has been better and will available for Rajshahi Kings. 
Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim, who was hit by Ben Stokes delivery in his head during the Dhaka Test, saved from big injury scare because of multi-tolerance helmet.   
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief physician Dr Debashis Roy said that there is no major injury scare in the contacted players of the board.
“We had injury scare of the players during the Test series ahead of the BPL. But the series has been ended without any major injury scare,” said Debashis Roy.
