The second-leg of the JB Bangladesh Premier League football will start today with huge excitement when four teams are very closely contesting for the championship.
The championship is wide open for four teams, who are closer in the point table and an underdogs came to fight for championship.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will take on Arambagh Krira Sangha in the first match while Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra and Uttar Baridhara will play the second match today.
The defending champions Sheikh Jamal, who have the scope to grab hat-trick championship this season, will begin g their second-leg with standing in fourth place whereas the reigning runners-up Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra will start as the second last side of the table. Chittagong Abahani Limited are leading the table with 24 points just closely followed by Abahani Limited Dhaka 23 and a surprising pack Rahmatganj are on third position with just one point behind.
However, apart from Sheikh Russel, none of the big teams make any major changes in the second phase but to include two foreign booters.
Abahani Limited signed another British player, who played in Thai League, joined his compatriot Le Tuck, who has been playing for the Sky Blue from the beginning of the league.
Jonathon, a man from Wales, plays in striking position came to Dhaka on October 18 and was under observation since next day. Abahani head coach George Kottan returned from his leave on October 28 and gave his consent to sign up John.
Title holders Sheikh Jamal, who have been facing huge trouble to begin the season with local players, may have to play the second-leg without their star performer Wedson Anselme as he is leaving the team.
Wedson, the Haitian striker, who played key role of Jamal’s winning the title for successive two times took the release order early of this week. Now Jamal were going sign up two foreign booters.
Meanwhile Chittagong Abahani have already confirmed about recruiting the Bhutanese striker Chenchu, who scored two goals against Bangladesh during their historic victory against Bangladesh in the AFC Cup play off early of this month.
