The 1st round (institution level) of Skills Competition (SC) 2016 organised by selected 162 institutions and supported by Skills and Training Enhancement Project (STEP) was held across the country on Sunday, says a press release.
STEP is a project that is being implemented by Directorate of Technical Education under the Ministry of Education and with the financial support of World Bank.
About 1,50,000 students from 162 institutions took part in the competition and displayed about 800 different innovations. Each institution selected best three innovations from their competition.
Thus 486 selected innovations will be displayed at second round competition to be held on November 25 at 13 regions across the country.
The final round of the competition will be held in December this year. The 1st round competition has created huge enthusiasm among the students, teachers, guardians and visitors across the country.
Project Director (Additional Secretary) of STEP Md. Emran inaugurated institution level competition at Rangpur Polytechnic Institution and visited a number of institutions on the day.
