9.83pc pass in DU Gha unit admission test

Only nine point eight three percent of the admission seekers passed the Gha unit entry tests under the social science faculty of Dhaka University (DU).
DU Vice Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique announced the result at the central admission office of DU administration building around 12pm yesterday.
A total of 7,556 admission seekers (9.83%) passed in the admission test. A total of 86,989 aspirants competed against 1,540 (1,079 from Science, 390 from Commerce and 53 from Arts) available seats under the combined unit.
Students can obtain their result via visiting universitys website www.admission.eis.du.ac.bd or via short message service (SMS) through any mobile operator service.
A student will have to type DU space GHA spaceroll No and SMS to 16321 to get the result in a reply SMS.
Selected students will have to provide their preferences about choice of subjects in a form available on the website between November 7 and 14. The final results will be announced on November 21. The admission test of Gha unit was held on Friday at 87 centres in the capital.
Meanwhile, the admission test results of Rajshahi University (RU)s C unit for 2016-17 academic session have been published yesterday.
Prof Md Akhter Faruk , chief coordinator of Science faculty, confirmed it through a press release.
University authority asked the qualified students to fill up the subject choice form by November 16. The oral test date for the admission seekers will be published on the RU Website. The admission test was held on October 25 and around 32802 candidates took part against 660 seats. The test results and admission process can be viewed on the university website www.ru.ac.bd.
