Drug seized in Mymensingh

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-14) arrested a woman and seized drugs from her possession at town’s Station Road area on Saturday night. The arrestee was identified as Airin, 30, wife of Noor Islam of Rahmatpur in Mymensingh sadar upazila. On information, the Rab team raided Station Road area around 11.45pm and arrested Airin and recovered 48 gram heroin and 290 pieces of yaba tablets from her possession. Rab also seized six cellphone sets, four SIM cards and Tk 3,000 in cash from her. Rab sources said, Airin is allegedly involved in drug trading for long. She was handed over to Kotwali Police Station. A case was lodged.
