27,000 meters of current net seized in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI: Mobile courts on Saturday seized 27,000-metre of current nets worth around Taka 10 lakh and over 80 kilograms of mother Hilsha fishes from different points of Padma River under three upazilas of the district, reports BSS. The mobile courts comprising respective upazila nirbahi officers and upazila fisheries officers and accompanied by police teams conducted combing operation in different riverine areas under Godagari, Paba and Charghat upazila and seized the nets and fishes.
