RU G Unit results published
RAJSHAHI: The results of admission test for the first year honors courses under G unit in Rajshahi University (RU) for 2016-17 academic session has been published on Saturday night.
Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, chief coordinator of Agriculture faculty, confirmed it through a press release. University authority asked the qualified students to fill up the subject choice form by November 17.
The oral test for the admission seekers will be held at the university at Agriculture faculty building on November 20 from 9:30am to 1:30pm.
The admission test was held on October 26 and around 13926 candidates took part against 212 seats. The admission results and admission process can be viewed from the university website www.ru.ac.bd.
Meanwhile, the admission tests for the first year honours courses under C and H units of Rajshahi University (RU) for academic session 2016-17 were held on October 25. Professor Khademul Islam Mollah, director of University ICT centre, confirmed the matter.
This year, a total of 1,78,949 students have applied for admission tests of Rajshahi University., Around 32,802 candidates vie for 660 seats for C unit admission test while about 29,057 candidates vie for 272 seats for H unit admission test.
A mobile court was operated on the campus to avert any type of admission forgery.
KUET admission test held
KHULNA: The admission test for the first-year BSC-Engineering and Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (BURP) courses of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) under 2016-17 academic year was held on Friday peacefully.
A total of 12,717 admission seekers vied in the entry test against 1,005 seats for 14 departments from 9.30 am to 12 noon at seven centers in the city.
The results will be published on the KUET website admission.kuet.ac.bd and notice board on November 8.
Philosophy dept clinches RU inter-deptfootball title
The Department of Philosophy of Rajshahi University (RU) bagged the championship trophy of Inter-department football tournament defeating Law department by 1-0 goal in the final match.
The highly competitive and exiting final match took place at RU stadium at 4pm yesterday while Rizvi Ahmed Roni of Pholosophy department scored the only goal. Roni philosophy department selected as man of the match.
RU Vice-Chancellor Prof Muhammad Mizanuddin handed over the championship trophy to the winners after witnessing at the final match as chief guest while RU Pro-VC Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan present as special guest.
RU student advisor Prof Mizanur Rahman, proctor Prof Mojibul Haque Azad and acting director of physical exercise department Chowdhury Moniruzzaman, Phisophy department chairman Prof Akter Ali, law department chairman Wahiduzzaman and top concerns of campus, among others, were also present in the ceremony.
A total of 50 teams have participated in the competition that started on September 28.
2-day Science Fest begins Nov 12 at RU
To create enthusing and increasing the use of science among the students, Rajshai University Science Club (RUSC), a science related volunteer organisation of the campus, is going to arrange a two-day long Science Fest-2016 on November 12, 13 for the first time.
Founding president of RUSC Jahirul Islam Moon confirmed through a press conference at 4th science building conference room yesterday.
State Minister for the Foreign Affairs Md. Sahariar Alam has expected to present in the programme as the chief gust and RU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr.Mizanuddin will present as the honorable guest.
Pro-VC Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, Prof Dr. Masum Habib, senior professor of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) and Dr. AH Ansari, executive officer of ACI Company, among others, will also present as the special guest.
