Four held with Phensidyl

Tangail: Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested four people along with 1,946 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from Rabna Bypass in Sadar upazila on Wednesday, reports UNB. The arrestees were identified as Mahmudul Hasan Pias, 38, of Dhaka, Khorshed Alam, 25, of Savar, Iqbal Sheikh, 24, and Harun Or Rashid, of Pabna district. Mahiuddin Faruki, commander of RAB-12 CPC-3company, said tipped off, a team of the elite force conducted a drive in the area and intercepted a truck in the morning. The RAB members recovered 986 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup after searching the truck and arrested Pias and Khorshed. Following the duo’s information, the elite force intercepted another truck in the area and arrested Iqbal Sheikh and Harun or Rashid. The RAB members also recovered 960 bottles Phensidyl from their possession.
