Int’l Literary and Cultural Conference begins

Finance Minister AMA Muhith yesterday inaugurated a three-day International Literary and Cultural Conference at Manikganj Government Boys’ School playground marking the 150th birth anniversary of Dr Dinesh Chandra Sen. Manikganj district administration and Manikganj Sahitya and Sangkritik Parisad organised the conference. Writer Syed Abul Maksud, Zila Parishad administrator Golam Mohiuddin and mayor of Manikganj municipality Gazi Quamrul Huda Selim, among others, spoke on the occasion. Muhith said Dinesh Chandra Sen collected and preserved the Bengali folk literature. The literary works of Dinesh Chandra Sen have been translated in different foreign languages that have brought international reputation for him, the finance minister added.
