Kumar Dharmasena will officiate the second Test in Dhaka, beginning today despite just collecting the unwanted record of having the most decisions overturned in a single match.
Dharmasena’s decisions in the first Test were referred to the third umpire 16 times with eight reversed, the most for any umpire since the introduction of the decision review system seven years ago.
The match referee logged a record number of 115 appeals to the umpires in the first Test and a there were 26 reviews
by both teams as the turning pitch caused problems for the official.

A positive vibe gripped the whole country after the way Bangladesh fought with the might of England in the first Test, something that was beyond the imagination for a team who hadn’t been in longer…
