Cook all praise for Bangladesh spinners

England captain Alastair Cook rated Bangladesh spinner highly, terming them more experienced than his spinners as he believed the spinners would rule the roost in the second Test like the first one in Chittagong.

Knowing that Bangladesh would play to their strength, Cook said his side is prepared to deal with the spinners.
“I think they’re more experienced than our spinners. I thought some of the balls that our spinners bowled were jaffas – the first two wickets taken by Moeen; not many people on either side could bowl those – I think you’re seeing a side in Bangladesh that are more comfortable bowling in these conditions. That’s what they’ve grown up on,” Cook said.
“I thought Bangladesh played very well in a great Test match. They’re comfortable with the ball spinning, it’s what they’ve grown up on and for us to get over the line I thought was a really good start to the tour. Hopefully we’ll improve. Our spinners could improve their lengths but I was happy with the way we reverse swung the ball.”
The Surrey spinner Zafar Ansari will make his England Test debut, Cook confirmed. He will replace his county team-mate Gareth Batty in the side, while Steven Finn will replace Stuart Broad as the coach Trevor Bayliss looks to rotate his bowlers to give them experience before the India series ahead.
Ansari, a slow left armer, was left out of the opener in Chittagong despite taking four for 68 in the second warm-up game.
“Zafar’s going to make his debut coming in for Gareth and Finny’s coming in for Broady,” Cook informed. Ansari’s inclusion will mean that Cook has a left-arm spinner, an off-spinner in Moeen Ali and a leg-spinner in Adil Rashid at his disposal.
England however want to continue their winning momentum heading into the India series. For Cook and his men it will be the last time they could tinker with their side as it is an apt situation for them. It will be one last opportunity for the likes of Jake Ball and Chris Woakes to cement their place in the Test side. With James Anderson out of India series it leaves a big gap in their bowling unit.
Cook said Chris Woakes would play the Test ahead of Jake Ball. “In an ideal way we would have liked Jake to have a game as well but we feel as if Chris Woakes hasn't played a huge amount of cricket on the subcontinent, didn't have a  huge workload in the last game and we feel as if it'll be beneficial for him to experience in these conditions.”
England famed batting unit in Cook, Root, Ballance and Duckett will be under pressure to come into form as soon as possible.
“Clearly at the top of the order we lost wickets early, it was very tough, the toughest I can remember for an opening batter with the ball skidding and spinning. Hopefully we can start better here and someone hopefully goes on to get a hundred,” Cook said.
