A Dhaka court yesterday set January 8 for holding hearing on charge framing against 41 leaders and activists of BNP including its secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a subversion case.
"October 27 was fixed for holding hearing on the matter, but Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Ali Masud Sheikh reset the date accepting a time plea from the defence," a court official said. Sub-inspector Ali Hossain of Ramna Police Station filed the case on charges of vandalizing and torching vehicles in front of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College on March 2, 2013.
Detective branch (DB) of police inspector Dip Kumar Das on July 5, 2014, submitted charge sheet in the case against 41 people including Fakhrul, Barister Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas and Abdullah Al Noman.
