The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Women and Children Affairs Ministry yesterday suggested the government to take necessary measures to bring the real culprits to justice soon to stop the ongoing violence against the women in the society.
The committee came up with the recommendation at its 28th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairperson Rebecca Momin in the chair.
At the meeting, it said that necessary measures are being taken to introduce the pension system for staff of Bangladesh Shishu Academy like other autonomous bodies.
Committee members State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroze (Chumki), Nasreen Jahan Ratna, Fazilatun Nessa, Amina Ahmed and Refat Amin attended the meeting.
Women and Children Affairs Secretary Nasima Begum and other high officials from the ministry were present, said a Parliament Secretariat handout.
