Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today said the government has given the highest importance on the development of health sector.
"The country is moving ahead, significantly, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the government is giving the top priority on health sector," he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a ‘Urogino Radiology workshop and seminar’ jointly organized by International Atomic Energy Agency and National Institute of Kidney Diseases & Urology (NIKDU) at NIKDU seminar hall at capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area, reports BSS.
Nasim assured the health officials of supply of necessary equipment and apparatus for proper treatment of kidney, cancer and heart diseases in the specialised hospitals of the country.
"During the tenure of the government led by Awami League, significant development had been achieved in health, education, communication, energy and rural development", he added.
“There is no scope to do politics in the field of health and medical services, only qualified and skilled persons would be given promotion in health sector,”the minister said.
National Institute of Kidney Diseases & Urology (NIKDU) Director Dr M Nurul Huda Lenin presided over the program-me.
