Man killed in clash over land dispute

Thakurgaon: A man was killed in a clash over a land dispute at Nishchintopur village in Sadar upazila yesterday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Mamun, 40, a resident of the village.Moshiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said Mamun had a long standing dispute with one Ratan of the same village over a piece of land.
As Mamun went to the land for planting trees around 7am yesterday Ratan and his followers attacked Mamun, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to Sadar hospital around 7.30am.On information, police recovered the body and also arrested Ratan in this connection.
