‘Jalaler Golpo’ participating in two more int’l festivals

Young director Abu Shahed Emon’s much-anticipated film ‘Jalaler Golpo’ (Jalal’s Story), which has already participated in numerous local and international film festivals and earned appreciation and several awards, will be reaching two more film festivals in Russia and France. ‘Jalaler Golpo’ will participate in the main category competition in the Silver Akbuzat International Festival and Ethnic Cinema 2016 in Ufa, Russia, which will be held from October 26 to 28.
The Cultural Ministry of Republic of Bashkortostan nominated number eight films from six counties. The film ‘Jalaler Golpo’ is one of them. They also nominated the film of Mongolia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Director Abu Shahed Emon has also been invited to attend the festival to take part in the award ceremony of Grand Prix ‘Silver Akbuzat’.
On the other hand, ‘Jalaler Golpo’ will also be screened at the Festival du Film d'Asie du Sud in Paris at the category of Focus Bangladesh. Began on October 18, the festival will end on October 25. Produced under the banner of Impress Telefilm, the key cast of the film includes Tauquir Ahmed, Mosharraf Karim, Mousumi Hamid, Sharmimala, Nur-e-Alam Nayan and Metali Das. The central character ‘Jalal’ is jointly played by newcomer Arafat Rahman and Mohammad Emon.
