A weeklong group painting exhibition titled ‘Country without Borders Dhaka 2016' is now underway at the art gallery of Biswa Sahitya Kendra in the capital’s Banglamotor area. The group exhibition is an outcome of mutual coordination between artists (painters) from Bangladesh (Charu Pintu and Esha Jabin) and India (Pinaki Acharjee and Ashok Kumar Dey). Eminent artist Professor Shahjahan Ahmed Bikash, Chairman, Faculty of Fine Arts, UODA University inaugurated the exhibition on Friday, while Prime Minister's Special Assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil was present as chief guest and freedom fighter Mohibul Islam Idu was present as special guest.
'Country without Borders' has organised the exhibition in association with Art and Literary Magazine Vinno Chokh with the slogan ‘Overcoming the Confines of Manmade Boundaries through Art’. A total of 40 artworks are being displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition is open to all everyday from 3pm to 8pm, until October 27. l
