A one and a half-years-old baby died after she along with two of her family were rescued unconscious at their house in the capital’s Badda area early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Aria, daughter of Amjad Hossain, a resident of Uttar Badda area of the city. Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said Amjad Hossain returned home around 2am and did not get any response from inside when he knocked the door.
Later, Amjad along with his neighbors entered the house breaking open the door to see his wife Shahana Begum and his two daughters --Angomani, 4, and toddler Ariya -- lying unconscious on their bed.
They took the trio to Badda General Hospital and later shifted to DMCH where doctors declared Ariya dead, said sub-inspector Bacchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police camp.
