Co-Operative Union Ltd. (Milk Vita), has earned over Tk 18 crore in the past one year, reports BSS.
The Milk Vita collects 1.24 lakh litres of milk daily from dairy farmers across the country, which makes a significant contribution to fulfill demand of milk, this was revealed at a review meeting at the Milk Bhaban in the capital yesterday.
State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Md Mashiur Rahman Ranga, among others, addressed the meeting with chairman of Milk Vita Sheikh Nadir Hossain Lipu in the chair, an official release said.
Ranga said e-tender system has to be ensured for handling all buying and selling activities of Milk Vita in a transparent manner. Stressing the need for promoting modern marketing system, he said, “Milk Vita must focus on producing quality products to turn it into a profitable organisation.”
