Sir,
The profession of journalism involves risk and certain liabilities. It is frequently urged that journalists should do objective journalism.
But the objectivity in journalism fluctuates from society to society. Journalists often present biased report or strongly unbiased reports which reveals facts beyond jurisdiction.
The latter group faces serious consequences.
There is no doubt that journalism is a noble profession influenced by journalist’s honesty, sincerity and dedication.
Journalism is about the pursuit of truth and publicizing the truth with full accuracy, brevity, and clarity.
I strongly feel that international community should sit together to decide the codes for objective journalism, I mean, how far societies would accept the practice of objective journalism, and how far the journalists would be protected against professional hazards.
