Man to die for killing wife in Ctg

A Chittagong court yesterday sentenced a man to death penalty for killing his wife in Kolsidigi area under EPZ police station in Chittagong in 2014.

Md Shah-e-Nur, judge of Chittagong Metropolitan session judge handed down the verdict. The convict was identified as Habibur Rahman Fakir who was a resident of Kolsidigi area and was living with his wife.
The court sources said that On October 3, 2014 Habibur Rahman killed his wife. A case was lodged in this connection with the respective police station and the police submitted the charge sheet on December 31, 2014. The court framed the charge on October 5, 2015. 
After examining 13 witnesses out of 16 the court awarded death penalty to Habibur Raham as the allegations brought against him were proved undoubtedly.
