The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday arrested a bank official in Pabna in a graft case.
ACC assistant director Abu Bakar Siddique arrested suspended officer of Agrani Bank’s Pakshi branch Aminul Islam, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
On Wednesday, the Commission filed a case against six bank officials and others with Ishwardi Police Station for allegedly swindling out Tk 93 lakh from Pakshi branch.
Later, the Commission on Wednesday arrested manager of Agrani Bank’s Pakshi branch Kaysar Ali Miah, its former managers Mosharraf Hossain and Md Afsar Ali and cashiers Nurul Islam and Ramzan Ali Miah in connection with the graft allegation.
Meanwhile, the Commission arrested an official of the Land Record and Survey Department from the district town in connection with a graft case on Wednesday.
ACC assistant director Manjur Alam Chowdhury of its Sylhet office arrested Mohammad Badrul Alam Chowdhury, assistant settlement officer of the Zonal Settlement Office at Alampur in the city in the afternoon.
Earlier on November 24, 2013, the ACC filed the case against Badrul.
