African runners win 2016 Shuifu half marathon

Runners from African countries secured the first three places for men and women at the 2016 Shuifu International Half Marathon.

A half marathon was held on Saturday in Shuifu County in northeastYunnan, and more than 10,000 people participated in this year’s race, including 63 international runners.

The event is cosponsored by the Chinese Athletic Association, Sports Bureau of Yunnan Province, and People’s Government of Zhaotong City.

As a port on the Yangtze River, Shuifu is Yunnan’s gateway to the Chengdu and Chongqing economic zone.
