Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan stands on the brink of yet another landmark as he needs three wickets and 177 runs to complete a double of 3000 runs and 150 wickets in longer version format as 10th player of the world.
Shakib has now 2823 and 147 wickets in 42 matches under his belt and could become only current play by doing so. The nine other players—Garry Sobers (West Indies), Imran Khan (Pakistan), Ian Botham (England), Kapil Dev and Ravi Shastri (India), Chris Cairns and Daniel Vettori (New Zealand), Shane Warne (Australia) and Chaminda Vaas (Sri Lanka) have already retired from the cricket.
So it’s the chance for Shakib to take him in another height amongst the current players. His batting form though looked not encouraging enough to score 177 runs in the first Test but he is almost certain to take three wickets, given the status as the main bowler of the team.
