Noting that almost all the demands of petrol pump and tank-lorry owners and workers have already been met, State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid yesterday warned that things will be dealt with an iron if they try to hold the government hostage, reports UNB.
Responding to a query about the threat of the petrol pump and tank-lorry owners and workers to go on a nonstop strike from October 30, he, however, said if they have any fresh logical demand, the government will consider it.
Nasrul Hamid said the government has been conducting drives against adulteration of petroleum products at pumps. “If any obstacle is created in the way, the government will be tougher on the issue,” he added.
