The revenue budget of total Taka 108.80 crore has been approved for Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) for 2015-2016 fiscal year, said a university press release here yesterday, reports BSS.
The budget has been approved by the finance committee on June 28 and also in the syndicate meeting held on June 30.
Under the budget, Taka 6.70 crore has been earmarked from university's own income and the rest of Taka 102.10 crore as grant by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Of the total budget, Taka 82 crore has been earmarked for salary, allowance and pension, Taka 13 crore for general and secondary purpose, Taka 8.70 crore earmarked for education and research and Taka 5.10 crore to be spent for repairing and others resource procurement purposes.
