Miscreant storms house, hacks schoolgirl in Munshiganj

A miscreant stormed the house of a schoolgirl at Char Moddam village in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj yesterday and hacked her in the head, leaving her injured, UNB reports. The injured was identified as Tahmina, a Class-X student of Rashunia High School in the upazila and daughter of M Tafijuddin of the village.
Officer-in-charge of Sirajdikhan Police Station Yeardous Hasan said an unknown youth entered the room of Tahmina in the afternoon and chopped her in the head with a sharp weapon. The injured girl was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the capital in a critical condition, the OC said. Tahmina has recently slapped a youth after he offered her love affair, locals said, adding that he might have attacked Tahmina over the incident.
