Satkhira: Police dug up the body a housewife, who was allegedly killed by her husband, at Agunpur fish enclosure in Alipur village of Sadar upazila on Monday night, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Asiya Khatun, 27, wife of Amzad Gazi, a resident of the village.Firoz Hossain Mollah, officer-in-charge of Satkhira Sadar Police Station, said family members of Asiya informed police that she had been missing since the morning and that they had also spotted bloodstained cloths at a fish enclosure in the village.Later, a team of police went to the village and arrested Asiya’s husband Amzad.Facing the interrogation, he confessed to killing his wife by hitting her with a heavy wood at the head and hiding the body under mud at the fish enclosure.Based on his information, police recovered the body from the fish enclosure around 10.30pm.Meanwhile, police also arrested one Kabir Hossain of the village in connection with the murder.
