‘Robber’ killed in gunfight with rivals

Laxmipur: A suspected robber was killed in a ‘gunfight’ between two groups of ‘robbers’ at Char Afzal in Ramgati upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Majnu, son of Jahangir Hossain, a resident of the village.
Superintendent of police ASM Mahatab Uddin said a gunfight between two groups of ‘robbers’ - one led by Fakir and the other by Majnu - broke out at the village around 3.30am, leaving one of them dead on the spot.Informed, police went to the spot and recovered the body of Majnu in the morning.
The body was sent to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.Police also recovered one pipe gun and some bullet shells from the spot.
