The United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) will review Bangladesh in Geneva, Switzerland on Nov 8 as to how the convention Dhaka had ratified is being implemented. The Committee is meeting in Geneva from 24 October to 18 November to review women’s rights in the some countries including Bangladesh, said a press release forwarded by the Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) yesterday. “The above countries have ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and are reviewed regularly by CEDAW on how they are implementing the Convention,” it said.
